The Madley Funk Orchestra
With the main focus of the group being on instrumental music, The Madley Funk Orchestra combines a variety of styles and timbres in an exploration of funk and fusion. Such styles include samba, jazz, rock, fusion, funk, blues and soul. Each song takes the listener on a small journey through its form and groove. The band’s influences include Miles Davis (later stages), John Scofield, Mike Stern, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Micheal Brecker, Randy Brecker, Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, Grant Green, Bootsy Collins, James Brown, Pornland, Clifford Brown and Les Claypool among many others.
